Α new member in our Worldplaces Network, Kaizen Gaming!

We welcome Kaizen Gaming to the Network “Worldplaces-Workplaces Working with Migrant Women“.

Mr. Efthimios Athanasiou, Human Resources Specialist at Kaizen Gaming, has answered our questions about Diversity and Inclusion in the workplace.

 

  • Why is the promotion of inclusion in the workplace important for you and your company?
    At Kaizen Gaming, the inclusion of new employees stems from our very own values (One Team and People first) but also from our strategic goals, of which one is to expand to 26 countries by 2026. In this effort, our employees are from 43 different nationalities and cultures, while 120 new employees are hired in the company’s workforce on a monthly basis. Therefore, it is a priority for us to make our diverse workforce feel part of a wider team and for new employees to find a welcoming environment within the company in which they can develop.

 

  • Does your company follow inclusion practices?
    When it comes to inclusion, it is important for us to highlight diversity and understand the needs of underrepresented voices. To this end, on the occasion of World Days, we organise company-wide discussions in order to raise awareness and provide information. Having highlighted the relevant issues, we then move on to our strategic actions of inclusion, such as creating policies, pay equity practises, and the creation of new diversity teams and training of executives on anti-discrimination and unconscious bias issues.

 

  • What motivated you to join the Worldplaces?
    Kaizen Gaming has started operating as a company within the Greek borders and is now called upon to manage and develop employees with different cultural backgrounds working in common teams and projects. By joining the Worldplaces network, we aim at strengthening our team members’ good inclusion practices and to then enhance the way different cultures integrate into the company’s workforce.

 

Until the end of 2024, all Network member-companies will have exclusive access to training and tools based on the findings and best practices of the “Worldplaces – Workplaces Working with Migrant Women” pilot phase, combined with good practices and literature on the topic of inclusion.  

This project is implemented by the Employability Service of Generation 2.0 for Rights, Equality & Diversity and aims to support companies and organisations in the process of inclusion of women of migrant background in the workplace.
