“Non-Discrimination and Inclusion Policies in the Workplace”: the 4th training was held!
On Friday, October 26, 2024, the fourth training session was held on “Non-Discrimination and Inclusion Policies in the Workplace,” aimed at professionals in Human Resources departments. The training took place as part of the European program Worldplaces – Workplaces Working With Migrant Women, with active participation from the following companies and organizations: Beiersdorf, Women on Top, College Year in Athens (CYA), STEPS, F Zeen Retreats, Archipelago, and Melissa Network.
Participants did not simply gain knowledge; they actively engaged in discussions by expressing concerns, exchanging views, and sharing personal experiences. This collaborative atmosphere fostered meaningful discussions and provided an opportunity for the practical exchange of knowledge on workplace inclusion, leaving the participating companies with specific ideas and solutions for immediate implementation in their workplaces.
Some topics covered in our training include:
- How Greek and EU legislation covers discrimination in the workplace
- Types of discrimination subject to the workplace environment
- Labour rights and statuses of people with migrant background
- Diversity, Equity and Inclusion principles in the HR field
This project is implemented by the Employability Service of Generation 2.0 for Rights, Equality & Diversity and aims to support companies and organisations in the process of inclusion of women of migrant background in the workplace.
