Aegeo Spas, the new member of the Worldplaces Network

We welcome Aegeo Spas, one of the largest Wellness and Spa Management companies in Greece, to the Worldplaces Network. Τhe representative for the specific project is Mrs. Giouli Kyriakakis, the company’s HR Director.

Mrs. Kyriakaki spoke to us about the company’s vision on diversity and inclusion, which is framed and realised for the first time through the HUG project. HUG is a pilot, corporate employment integration programme aimed at people of migrant background. Through the programme, training opportunities are provided in the field of wellness, while individuals who successfully complete the trainings are recruited by Aegeo Spas.

The synchronisation of the HUG programme and the project *Worldplaces – Workplaces Working with Migrant Women created the motivation for the company and for Mrs. Kyriakaki to become members of the Worldplaces Network. Through the Worldplaces project, as Mrs. Kyriakaki mentioned, Aegeo Spas will receive the necessary specialised knowledge for the integration of migrant women, which will then be utilised through HUG. In addition,Mrs. Kiriakaki added that inclusion is key to the company because it “provides accessibility to building a professional identity for people who may not have had the same opportunities and possibilities in the past.”

During the project Worldplaces-Workplaces: Working with Migrant Women which aims to support organisations in the process of equal inclusion of women of migrant background in the workplace and, until its completion in 2024, the Diversity in the Workplace will utilise findings and best practices from the project’s pilot phase, implemented by the organisation’s Career Counselling Service, and in combination with current bibliography and best practices from abroad, will create tools and trainings, to which company-members will have exclusive access.
