We are welcoming Women On Top organisation to the Worldplaces Network!

A new addition to the “Worldplaces-Workplaces Working with Migrant Women“ Network is the organisation Women On Top.

Ms. Stella Kasdagli, is one of the co-funders of the organisation Women On Top, the organisationcreated in order to assist the economic and professional empowerment of women, as well as, the gender equality and inclusion in the workplace.

  • Why is it important for you and your organisation to promote inclusion in the workplace?

For both of our organisations, Women On Top, which is a non-profit organisation, and inc.lude, which provides consulting and training services on Diversity & Inclusion issues, inclusion promotion is perhaps the most important pillar of our work and interest.

We started this journey from a gender perspective, and our cross-cutting approach  has gradually led us to treat inclusion as a broad theme in which skills, policies, strategies, social norms, social responsibility elements and many others coexist, and we seek to synthesize all of these into a holistic model for promoting change for companies and organisations.

  • Does your organisation follow inclusion practices?

In our two small teams, consisting of 6 people in the first case, and 3, in the second, but which include, at a regional level, a large network of trainers and volunteers, we spend a lot of time and put a lot of care to ensure that we follow the most  inclusive practices possible. We implement flexible working policies and support work-life balance and make sure that, when we grow our teams, we assess people with diverse age, gender and geographical profiles. We actively work to enhance diversity in the Women On Top mentor pool and are in the process of formulating our policies on preventing and combating violence and harassment at work and diversity in our supply chain.

  • What motivated you to join the Worldplaces Network?

One of our core principles at Women On Top is the continuous learning, and we wish Worldplaces to become a tool for us to develop our skills in terms of including people of diverse ethnic backgrounds and, of course, those with a migrant or refugee background, in the labour market.

This project is implemented by the Employability service of Generation 2.0 for Rights, Equality & Diversity and aims to support companies and organisations in the process of migrant women’s equal inclusion in the workplace.
