Plaisio computers joins the Worldplaces Network!

Plaisio computers actively supports the inclusion of migrant women in the Greek labour market by joining the Worldplaces-Workplaces Working with Migrant Women Network. We are welcoming to our Network one of the country’s biggest leading technology companies employing more than 1,800 people and demonstrating great awareness of diversity and inclusion topics.

Mr. Panagiotis Ioannidis, Talent Development Supervisor, believes that one basic requirement in the company is for its employees “to feel valued and included, in order to be 100% committed to their roles, be more productive and contribute positively to the success of the company. An inclusive workplace is healthier and helps foster a more positive culture.” In this way, the concept of inclusion ensures that all employees have equal access to opportunities for development and career advancement.

The company’s Human Resources Management has ensured the creation of pathways for the employees’ development within the company, regardless of their social profile, and has provided payroll equity at all levels.

More specifically, the company has taken the following steps towards the creation of a more inclusive environment:

  • Establishment of a competent committee in D&I matters,
  • Salary equity,
  • Training provision to employees,
  • Equal, non discriminatory opportunities for career advancement
  • Last but not least, Compensation & Benefits, providing equal benefits to all associates. For example, a wedding gift is offered to both different-sex and same-sex couples, regardless of the type of marriage.

According to Mr. Ioannidis, there are two main reasons for which Plaisio computers is supporting this specific project: a) the company wishes to try and succeed in supporting women of migrant background, enabling them to equally integrate into the labour market, and b) gain access to information on different business strategies, market approaches and best practices.

All Network member-companies are going to have, until the end of 2024, exclusive access to trainings and tools based on the findings and best practices of the “Worldplaces – Workplaces Working with Migrant Women” pilot phase, combined with international good practices and literature on the topic of inclusion.

This project is implemented by the Employability service of Generation 2.0 for Rights, Equality & Diversity and aims to support companies and organisations in the process of equal inclusion of migrant women in the workplace.
